Adding your UTR to untied lite

The tax authority, HMRC, identifies you using a Unique Taxpayer Reference - or UTR.

It is a 10-digit number. The number is used to identify you, and to allow you to submit filings to HMRC. So it's an important number and should only be shared with people or advisors you trust. You can check the format of your UTR in this handy reckoner here.

untied keeps your number safe. You can enter it into untied lite by logging in at and updating your Profile.
